The Educational Objectives of the Course
The Bachelor's Degree (Corso di Laurea Triennale) in Psychological Sciences and Techniques is dedicated to students interested in scientific study of the mechanisms, functioning and development of the mind and human behavior, as well as of the relationships and processes by which people interact in different personal and social contexts.
The basic training offered by the Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Sciences and Techniques includes activities aimed at the acquisition of the theoretical, methodological and applicative foundations of the main fields of Psychology and related disciplines. Specific objectives are the acquisition of a systematic and up-to-date knowledge of fundamental psychological, psychobiological, cognitive, emotional, and social processes, adequate skills in experimental and clinical research methods, in addition to preliminary and basic notions for diagnosis and rehabilitative intervention relevant to cognitive and affective disorders.
In addition, the practical activities (Tirocinio) aims to equip students with a wealth of knowledge and skills that are necessary for the continuation of their studies in a Master's Degree Course in Psychology, in which they will complete their personal and professional training, as well as for the performance of the various professional activities that characterize the profile of Psychologist listed in the Section B of the Professional Register of Psychologists (Ordine degli Psicologi).
The objective is therefore to train professionals competent to operate in the role of technical collaborator in the various psychological areas, aimed at research, analysis, design, management and evaluation of psychological intervention.
The graduate should have knowledge and skills that make him/her suitable to interact with other professional figures in the area, regarding direct services to the person, families, groups, organizations, communities and institutions. In any case, the Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Sciences and Techniques will provide the necessary tools to collaborate in psychological activities, under the supervision of a mental health professional, and/or a psychologist or psychotherapist, within the various social, organizational, work contexts in public and private facilities that provide and manage social and social-he
The study’s course
The general and specific educational objectives of the three-year degree course are declined in teaching modules (exams) and practical activities with internship training value.
The course is divided into three years, for a total of 180 CFU, in which the courses are progressively programmed according to the best fruition of the contents, gradual complexity and coherence between the different disciplinary areas. Specifically, the educational objectives achieved during the course of study will enable the graduate student in Psychological Sciences and Techniques to acquire: knowledge of the basic and characterizing psychological disciplines in the areas of general, physiological, social and occupational psychology; the biological and neurophysiological bases of behavior; principles for the definition of scientific investigation designs and ability to apply statistical methods and computer procedures for data processing in the field of psychology; knowledge of individual differences in psychology and the measurement of personality variables; adequate skills in the use of the English language in the context of communicating psychological information and for understanding international scientific sources.
Advanced knowledge in the field of psychometrics and testing, as well as adequate theoretical skills in the study of human behavior from a psychophysiological and evolutionary perspective, will subsequently be deepened. In addition, the cognitive, relational and behavioral functions of humans across the life span under normal and pathological conditions will be explored in depth, and preparation will be provided regarding the application of basic psychological knowledge in the field of clinical and health psychology.
These skills will also be integrated through the specificity of related and integrative disciplines concerning psychopharmacological, psychopathological and neurological aspects and related treatment modalities.
Practical activities
In order to combine the theoretical knowledge acquired from the teaching courses with practical skills for the application of knowledge, 10 CFUs are included in the pathway for professionalizing internship training activities (Practical Apprenticeship; Tirocinio Pratico Valutativo, TPV), which will be carried out in the final year under the guidance of professional psychologists. Professional training will also be fostered through attendance at seminars on ethics and professional code of practice. The final exam will provide skills in writing a text in the field of psychology and the ability to discuss its contents in front of a examining board.

Admission requirements
Admission to the Degree Course requires a high school diploma. Admission to the Degree Course is numerically scheduled at 250. To matriculate, it is mandatory to have taken a non-selective test organized in collaboration with the CISIA Consortium, TOLC-PSI. Applications for matriculation are accepted until the maximum sustainable number is reached, respecting the chronological order of arrival of applications. Any remaining places will be made available through announcement. What is the TOLC-PSI
This is an access test for the bachelor's degree programs in Psychological Sciences and Techniques. The test, conducted in collaboration with the Cisia Consortium, is designed to ascertain basic knowledge with respect to: Text Comprehension, Numerical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Biology, Basic Mathematics. An additional section will assess English language proficiency. The test may be taken in-person or in the TOLC@CASA mode.

Employment and professional outlets
The course prepares for the training of the profile of Doctor in Psychological Sciences and Techniques with professional functions aimed at demand analysis, psychological assessment and design of interventions for risk reduction and prevention, rehabilitation and promotion of psychological health of the person and in community systems, school and work. The graduate will be able to be placed in territorial services, social-educational facilities, rehabilitation and recovery facilities of public and private Companies and carry out work activities with dependency or freelance relationship in the areas listed above.
