Educational objectives
The specific aim of the master’s degree Course in Sport Science is to provide Master graduates with advanced scientific and methodological competences in the field of high-level sport to help athletes achieving optimal technical and physiological performances.
These objectives are achieved through seminar-style lectures and meetings with experts in the field, through case studies, technical-practical demonstrations in the field and individual exercises with the use of advanced performance analysis and functional assessment tools; through the compilation of individual bibliographic reviews and the drafting of original papers on the disciplines and techniques studied; through internships at qualified institutions for the different sporting disciplines; finally, through the realization of an experimental thesis on a subject related to the curriculum of studies, with the use of recognized qualitative and quantitative criteria for the drafting of a scientific report.
Admission requirements and job opportunities
To be admitted to the master’s degree Course in Sport Science, it is necessary to hold a three-year degree in the L-22 class or another qualification obtained abroad, recognized as suitable, or a three-year degree obtained at the former Higher Institutes of Physical Education (ISEF).
The evaluation of incoming academic careers is carried out by the student practices Committee, which assesses them in terms of consistency and congruity of content with respect to the aims of the course of study.
Graduates in Sport Science and Technique receive an educational and training offer that enables them to be able to use advanced cultural, methodological and technical-practical tools with particular reference to:
- planning, coordination and technical direction of technical sports activities in the competitive sphere at the various levels, up to and including top-level competition, at sports associations and clubs, sports promotion bodies, institutions and specialized centers;
- design, coordination and technical direction of physical and athletic training activities in various sports and at the various levels, up to professional level, at sports associations and clubs, sports promotion bodies, institutions and specialized centers;
- design, coordination and technical direction of physical and athletic training activities and competitive sports activities for people with disability;
- design, coordination and technical direction of physical preparation activities at the training centers of the Armed Forces and bodies engaged, in a broad sense, in guaranteeing the security and defense of the State;
- customized physical and technical preparation for individual and team competitions.

- Advanced Fitness trainers in gyms and sports clubs

- Strenght and conditioning trainer
- Professionals in high-level sport and functional assessment
